Operator Qualifications Analysis
Celerity’s client, a large East-coast public utility, was ordered by regulators to report on the extent to which its employees and contractors had experienced lapses in the qualifications required to perform utility maintenance, inspection, and construction work.
Strategy for Training Records Data Set Identification
Celerity worked with counsel and subject matter experts to identify and gather 18 sets of data, in varying formats, that constituted 14 years of training records related to 22 different training courses and examinations. Considering the varying certification periods and the elaborate rules that established how the courses interacted with one another (e.g., prerequisites, changing curricula, etc.), Celerity’s data analysis team developed SQL-based queries to analyze each individual’s qualifications and report on any potential lapses.
