DOJ Indictment

Celerity supported an electronics manufacturer and individual defendants within the company who were indicted by the United States Department of Justice (“DOJ”) as part of an alleged price-fixing conspiracy. Celerity provided data hosting services to outside counsel and the individual defendants using OLIVER – Celerity’s web-based platform. Celerity received, processed and loaded over 2 TB of data produced by the DOJ in disparate delivery formats which required significant normalization. To zero in on potentially relevant information from the 4.5 million record database, Celerity recommended the use of dtSearch, an industry standard technology incorporated into OLIVER that allows proximity, fuzzy and stemmed searches, and provided comprehensive search training and support. Celerity also performed forensic collections of individual defendant hard drives to identify potentially relevant documents. In preparation for trial, Celerity supported counsel in deposition and witness preparation with the creation of witness binders and print requests. Celerity’s breadth of support allowed our client to navigate a very sensitive matter with a crushing amount of data in the best manner possible.
